Entrance to the Antica Biblioteca Guarneriana

Friday 7 August, as it does every Friday afternoon, the Guarneriana Library, the oldest public library in Friuli Venezia Giulia and one of the oldest in Italy, will open its doors.

In the main square of San Daniele del Friuli, on the right-hand side of the cathedral, stands the building – formerly the Town Hall – which houses it.
